Seasonal Fig Tart

This Fig Frangipane Tart brings all the sweetness of almond pastry crust, almond filling, and juicy figs together. See recipe below 👇🏼

Almond crust:
Cut 1/2 cup cold butter into small pieces and place in bowl. Or stand mixer with paddle attachment. Work butter to homogenize then add each ingredient fully before the next one: 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 cup ground almonds, pinch of salt, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 egg and 1 2/3 cup flour. When dough comes together, form a ball and place in fridge.

Frangipane Filling:
Mix 6 tbs softened butter with 1/2 cup sugar. Then add 2 eggs, 1 cup almond flour and 2 tbs regular flour.

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 365 degrees F.
Take crust dough out of fridge, roll out or press into tart pan. Poke holes with fork. Place in oven until edges are slightly hardened. Take out and fill with Frangipane filling. Place desired fruit on top. Bake until filling is slightly browned. Voila!
